Contact Links helps you organize iPhone contacts with quick actions, saved locations, map tools, Collections, duplicate cleanup, imports, and backups. This policy explains the information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information Used on Your Device

• Contacts: The app requests access to your iPhone Contacts so you can view, create, edit, delete, merge, search, import, export, and back up contacts.
• Saved locations: When you add or link a location to a contact or Collection, its name and coordinates are stored on your device. They may be included in a full backup that you choose to create.
• Quick actions: Links such as WhatsApp, Instagram, websites, and other custom actions are stored on your device and may be included in a full backup that you choose to create.
• Collections: Collection names, descriptions, notes, linked locations, and linked quick actions are stored on your device and may be included in a full backup that you choose to create.
• Location permission: The app may use your current location to show nearby saved places, calculate distance, or prefill a new saved location. Your current location is not stored unless you choose to save it as a contact location.
• Clipboard: On relevant screens, the app may check whether the clipboard contains a phone number or map link. Clipboard content is used only when you choose to paste it.

How Contact Links Uses This Information

Your contact information is used to show contact details and power actions you initiate, such as calling, messaging, opening WhatsApp, viewing a social profile, or getting directions. Saved locations are used for the map and nearby-places view. Collections organize related locations, links, and notes. Themes and your preference for shared map links are stored on your device.

Local Storage, Imports, and Backups

Contact Links stores its saved locations, quick actions, Collections, display preferences, and export history locally on your device. Full backup files and VCF contact exports are created only when you choose to export them. If you enable Automatic Backup, the app keeps the latest encrypted backup on this iPhone and can keep an additional encrypted copy in a Files folder you choose. During an import, you choose which available contacts, saved locations, quick actions, and Collections to bring in. If you share, save, or move an exported file outside the app, you are responsible for keeping that file safe.

Third-Party Apps and Services

When you tap a quick action, contact method, map, or directions control, Contact Links may open a third-party app or service such as Phone, Messages, WhatsApp, a web browser, or a maps app. Those services handle information under their own privacy policies.

Analytics and Crash Reports

The app may use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve reliability. Crash and diagnostic data may include device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and usage events. This data is used to improve the app and is not sold.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Contact data, saved locations, quick actions, Collections, and Collection notes are not uploaded to our own servers. Some diagnostics and analytics data may be processed by Firebase/Google as described above.

Permissions

You can control Contacts and Location permissions from the iOS Settings app. Some features may not work if permissions are disabled.

Children's Privacy

Contact Links is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new updated date.
